The devil

By the time we picked up the cat from the vet yesterday, the techs were calling him Logan the Devil, and not just to our faces ;) Apparently he escaped his cage a few times, among other mischievous deeds. How on earth do we pick the one cat who isn't still drowsy or anything after surgery! He was bouncing off the walls as soon as we got him! No relaxing time for us, since we're supposed to limit his activity...fat chance. It was worse than babysitting a 2 year old last night....le sigh. Anyways...

I won't be cooking much this week, I've got tons of leftover chili and I'll just be using the tofu meatballs I froze in the summer with some pasta sauce over spaghetti. But since I love posting, I took a picture of my lunch today:

Veggie chili with some whole wheat crackers, half a red pepper with Goddess dressing, a kiwi, and a piece of cake for dessert. Someone stop me from eating another piece!!

I'm going to the doctor's today...we suspect I may have a thyroid problem, among other things.

I had to laugh at your kitty story. And I hope everything goes ok with you at the doctors. I went through this a few years ago, where I underwent all these tests for thyroid problems, only to find out that there was nothing wrong with my thyroid to begin with! Good luck.

Thanks bazu. The appointment was so messed up, turns out it was just an interview for her to determine if she'll take me on as a patient (major dr. shortage here). But I managed to tell her about my problems...she dismissed most of them as common winter problems, but I will be getting blood taken soon to rule out the thyroid, since I have a major family history.

The cat is worse than ever. He has since figured out how to jump onto the top of our big screen tv, from the ground...great, more problems and places we have to keep him from. sigh.

Oh, poor you with a crazy cat. Every time I have to take my cat to the vet, and the last time I had to take her to the emergency vet, everyone remarks what a well-behaved cat she is. She's also a sweetheart beyond belief.
